MARKING SCHEME

Final Exam will be of 100 marks and with 50 questions having equal marks. No Negative Marking.

Duration of the exam= 1 hour for each paper

EXAM PLATFORM

• Remote Proctoring online Platform will be used for fare assessment.
• The exam will be conducted in a highly secured environment on cloud.
• This will be a timed and open test.
• You can practise test with sample questions.
• The exam will be a remote proctored examination.
• The application will capture and verify digital identification as verification.
• Candidate needs to login using his/her login credentials. (ID and password).
• It tracks candidate's face and also tracks if there is any doubt of proxy or more than one candidate taking test i.e. impersonation will be auto flagged and test will be paused until candidate resume on its genuine position.
• The application tracks activity on the user's monitor screen, provides warning or terminates the test if any unwarranted application is opened during the test. i.e. browsing tolerance will be zero during the test
• Exams are displayed full-screen browser and cannot be minimized. And if its done test will be treated as finished.
• Exams cannot be exited until submitted by users.
• Switching between tests or access to other applications is prohibited.
• Print, Print Screen and capturing functions are disabled.
• Copying and pasting anything to and from an assessment is prohibited.
• Right-click menu options and function keys are disabled.
• Audio and video chat streaming to proctor the exam remotely.
• High speed internet, webcam and power back up is must during the test.
• USB, VGA and HDMI projection will be not possible.

Schedule for Civil Services (Preliminary-cum-Main) – 2021 Coaching Programme

1.	Online application live on	24th April, 2019 (Wednesday)

 1. Written test would comprise General Studies (objective type) on UPSC model and Essay writing in English/Hindi/Urdu to test candidate’s ability to express themselves in an organised and structured manner. The total duration of examination would be of three hours.

2. There would be negative marking for objective type questions in the test. One third of the marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

3. The entrance test paper would be divided into two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 would consist of objective type questions. There would be 60 questions and the total marks for this section would be 60 (60×1=60). Paper-I will be allotted 1 hour. Paper 2 would consist of Essay writing for which the total allotted marks would be 60. Candidates would be required to write two essays (30×2=60) choosing one from each section-A & B. The total time allotted for both the Papers would be three hours. However the OMR sheet would be collected after one hour i.e. at 11 a.m. Time allotted for writing the essays will be 02 hours. The students may take the question papers with them.

4. The total marks for Interview/Personality test would be 30. The candidate may give interview in Hindi/Urdu also.

5. In case of tie, the higher marks in essay and if there is a tie again the higher marks in interview would be taken as basis of selection. If there is still a tie the candidate who is younger (age wise) would get the seat.

6. Only those candidates who have already completed their Graduation need to apply.

7. Coaching will include (a) classes on General Studies, CSAT and selected optional papers (b) Test series, answer’s evaluation and Essay writing practice shall form part of the curriculum.

8. The Academy will also conduct Mock Interviews for those who qualify the main examination.

11. Once admitted the aspirant shall be allowed to avail the facilities of RCA till the time that he/she is successful in various stages of Civil Services (UPSC) Exams.

13. Scholarship to 20% admitted students @ Rs. 2000/- per month will be provided on mean-cummerit basis.

14. Total seats available: 150 (One hundred fifty seats). Hostel accommodation will be provided to all the admitted students. In case of shortage, hostel seats may be allotted in phased manner strictly on the basis of merit determined by the entrance test. However, RCA reserves the right to reduce the intake if sufficiently meritorious candidates are not found to be available.

15. Any candidate who has already availed RCA, JMI facility for three years and has never appearedinterview will not be eligible to fill the form and appear in the entrance test.

16. There is no need to carry original documents at the time of Interview. The Students are requiredbring their original documents at the time of completion of admission formalities.
