Students exploring higher education opportunities in distance learning mode can opt among various degree courses offered by UOU. The UG level courses offered by the university include B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, Bachelor of Yogic Science, Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) and Bachelor of Hotel Management (BTM).
The basic eligibility criteria for UG courses is to pass in class 12 examination in relevant stream. Admissions to all the courses are direct based on merit and subject to availability of seats. Candidates are requested to register as soon as possible after admission notification to confirm their seats.

Key Points for UG Admission:
- In case of admissions to B. Yogic Science learners having diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy from UOU may apply directly into second year.
- Candidates not having Mathematics at 10+2 level are required to pass one qualifying
- Mathematics paper during course of the program.
- Lateral Entry admissions are available in BCA course provided applicants have Diploma in Computer Application or Information Technology.

UOU offers a number of post graduate courses including M.A in eleven subject specializations, M.Sc in three subject Specialization, MCA with lateral entry, Master of Geo Informatics (MGIS) with lateral entry, Master of Information Technology (MSCIT) with lateral entry, M.Com, MSW, LLM, M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication (MAJMC), MHM and MTTM.
To be eligible to apply for PG admission, candidates should have a graduate degree in relevant discipline. Selection of eligible candidates in PG courses is based on first come and first serve subject to verification of credential at University level.

Key Points for PG Admission:
- In case of MCA and MSCIT candidates not having Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation will have to pass one qualifying Mathematics paper.
- For admission into LLM reserved category candidates are given 5% relaxation.
- Some courses follow semester system while others are based annual examination system.
